  Nathan likes to call himself an archeologist. Those who know him say he’s a treasure hunter. Those who really don’t know him simply call him a pirate.

  One of the youngest of many Nathan wasn’t expected to do much with his life. Maybe serve the Lightweaver or become an archivist. But he thirsted for adventure and longed to find the most ancient of things. To walk where not dragon had walked in a long time and fly where dragons did not fly. He wanted to unravel the mysteries of things and prove to everyone that he wasn’t nothing. That he was someone and that he would be remembered.

  So far the best way he’s found to do that is to join up with the Whistle Reeds. Though he’s not classically a pirate he isn’t above some piratey antics and he might be a bit too good at taking things that don’t belong to him either. He’s a fair hand at fighting too and holds his own on the deck of the Cracked Shot when they board other vessels.

  Despite being marked a pirate Nathan’s got a heart of gold and always tries to do the best thing. That doesn’t mean he isn’t plenty selfish and looks out for himself but for the most part he does try and stay on the straight and narrow. Not exactly easy as part of a pirate crew but he sticks to his morals and the rest of the crew doesn’t try to make him be disloyal to himself. Nathan’s a got a scoundrel’s charm that has wooed a few ladies in his travels but he never thought he'd find a lady to settle down with. Then Kil took a young skydancer on to read some ancient glyphs neither he nor Summer could decode. She was far too good for the likes of the Whistle Reeds and that was probably why Nathan fell for her. Then she left the pirating ways to become a member of the Windborne and Nathan isn't sure where they stand now since she's become the First Lieutenant of the Guard.
