Xavier grew up in Wind Flight. He quite enjoyed his time there, though, as soon as he could he left. He has always had a love for literature and as a young dragon traveled the world seeking as mych knowledge as he could. This led to his first paying gig as a writer. He started out as a travel journalist, writing his experiences down as he traveled and sought out ancient tombs.

After a few years abroad he settled down in the light flight to truly study his passion of ancient tombs. There he went to school for his PhD and wrote his first book on ancient writing. He gained quite the following among the scholarly circles. Despite his growing fame, he never quite felt at home there and something felt missing in his life.

It wasn't until a book signing when he happened to catch the eye of a lovely Pearlcatcher lass that he would come to learn what that something was. She was there to buy the latest Lindiana Jones book when he saw her in line. They would talk for a while, mostly her explaining why fiction was superior and he argued that real life history was more fascinating than anything she could read in some fantasy novel.

Despite not seeing eye to eye on every subject, both were fascinated by the other. Over the months their relationship would grow until Xavier would finally make the leap to Arcane flight to join her clan.
