”The Blind Seer”



Bocelli was born blind. His devastated parents were unsure how to care for their new offspring and Bocelli spent much of his time under the tutelage of the Clan as a whole, especially the old, wise Seneschal to the Matriach. The Seneschal moved slow enough that the young Bocelli could follow and learn his surroundings. He listened patiently to what the Seneschal taught him and to the activity surrounding the Clan, the Ambassadors, and trade agreements with other Flights.

It was as he grew that Bocelli began to have visions. Small at first, of no consequence - what would be for dinner, how many fish the dragons would pull that day, who would return first from hunting. But as he grew into his ability, he began to see things of consequence. He would know when a Dragon was lying about something, could tell his teacher if something was going to affect the Clan and its business, and as his predictions proved correct he found himself earning a respected position within the Clan.

After the Seneschal died, Bocelli was given the advisory position, using his talents to accurately foresee events and advising the Matriach on the best paths to take.

And as the first newborns emerged with strange coloured eyes, Bocelli’s eyes began to glow...
