"Windmourne is a TH0T. Thunders is my girlfriend now." -Petalwing
Petalwing lived in the depths of the mire. She grew up alone with very little parenting but her camoflague of looking like a psywurm helped her survive. It was especially helpful when a group of them brought her to their clan and adopted her. When she was much older she met Thunders and her brother trying to train in her swamp home.
Psywurms weren't one for getting in fights easily, and they were far from camp so it wasn't much of a problem, but it was a problem for Petalwing's heart. Seeing the gray-furred dragon snarling in fury at the toridae she fought with on a patrol yesterday made her forget she was standing out in the open, and directly in the line of sight of the dragon she was staring at looking at her like she was a goddess. (If you asked Petalwing, she was) She didn't even think to run from a stranger until Thunders walked up to her and asked if she was okay. She snapped out her daze and froze on the spot, mane bristling in fear how could I have just been standing there I'm so freaking stupid I don't even know this dragon but she's so cute and oh my god that head-tilt is so cute- oh Skygrounds my clanmates are watching I have to leave
And she ran.
Thunders came back the next day though. Petalwing saw her. She was with her brother but she wasn't looking for a fight. All armor except her chestplate were gone and she had taken off her claw extensions. Her face was up in the air and her mouth was open slightly, she was scenting for something.
Petalwing was jolted out of her staring when Thunders stiffened up. She reached into a satchel on the other side and pulled out a bunch of flowers. Petalwing saw that some of the petals were nibbled and stifled a laugh, the gray tundra was so adorable.
Even though a dragon she barely knew was carrying a bundle of spring flowers toward her, she stayed where she was hidden in the bushes. Her clanmates would've ripped her ears off but she didn't care. When Thunders reached her hiding place, the gray tundra shimmied under the bushes slowly as if Petalwing would tear her face off any second. When she fully emerged she had a look as if she were saying "oh heck I Did Not Expect to Make It This Far" and dropped the flowers on the ground.
"F-for y-you." She stuttered, her fins and the lighter parts of her face turning a soft pink.
Petalwing picked them up. They smelled wonderful. "Thank you, I love them." she purred, then shoved them into her mouth. "Tastey."
Thunders laughed. Her laugh was beautiful. It was gentle and sweet and Petalwing loved it. She also really liked the flowers. It was a boquet of satin violets, patio roses, madame snapdragons, and sugary prickleaves.
