Assassins work under the assassin captain, who is currently Dante. An assassin will acquire treasure or gain political advantage through the elimination of important Beastclan/dragon enemies that are too well protected for an ordinary attack. Their tactics of slaughter usually involve stealth and hiding. Assassins also study the Beastclans, such as learning how they fight and where they typically live. "The days of meek submission are over! It’s time to lift your head up and fight!" Coolly analytical, Lyle knows every answer. He’s logical, introverted, and inflexible, but genuine about his feelings. Day to night, he likes cold, hard facts, thank you very much, but he's also honest and faithful, and won’t let you down. They are connected by one common ancestor, GSee. They were informed of the connection via Marquise, the geneticist. (Gsee -> iwiw -> Unnamed Wildclaw -> Fernwhisper) (Gsee -> Windsong -> Beryl -> Lily and Lyle) [Origin Story] The siblings came from a medium-sized clan of Pearlcatchers and Imperials. This clan was named The Clan of the Blessed. They had a terrible, terrible system where the Pearlcatchers served only as slaves for the Imperials. It was odd because Pearlcatchers usually regarded themselves highly, but here they were timid and soft-spoken. Lily learned to find joy in even the smallest of good occurrences and to be almost always positive for the good of the others, Lyle, on the other hand, began to stand up for himself and other Pearlcatchers. He was punished for it, but he didn't care. They were going to be free. Later the two convinced the Pearlcatchers to take a stand and begin a revolution against the Imperials. At midnight, their onslaught began. The Imperials did not stand a chance against the blood-hungry and furious Pearlcatchers. They set fire to the Imperials and their homes. They slashed gashes into their necks and watched them choke on their own blood and words. They cracked their heads open and let the red bile flow forth. They performed many gruesome acts, those only being a few. When the dust settled, the lair was littered with the bloodied and dead Imperials and the Pearlcatchers were stained only with the blood of their filthy former oppressors. Sadly, they were only truly free for only a few moments. Suddenly, the land began to shake and rumble. The Imperials' bodies began to move to form a giant behemoth of a creature. When the rumbling stopped, the Pearlcatchers saw a terrifying sight. Before them stood the ghastly combination of all their despots. It was an Emperor dragon. They stood around 82 feet tall and sported 5 snapping heads. Fearing for their lives, the Pearlcatchers attempted to escape. Many of them were crushed and killed, but Lily and Lyle managed to escape into the Carrion Canyon in the Shifting Expanse. There, they stumbled upon the Lavaburst City. They were taken in and trained as assassins by Dante the Assassin Captain.
