Borealis is, effectively, the second in command and shaman of the Chaos Strike Clan. As a skilled fighter, a knowledgable healer and a gifted seer, his calm and almost ethereal nature tempers the rash temper of his King and the snap judgements of his Queen.

Where Borealis came from is anyone's guess. During the founding of King Scourge's new clan the enigmatic Pearlcatcher appeared saying he had been brought to them by a message within a dream. Scourge scoffed at it, in the beginning, but after proving himself in battle as well as giving Scourge insight and advice that proved essential in establishing the clan, Borealis quickly became favoured and trusted.

A gentle but quiet soul, Borealis seems aloof and cold at first but all one needs to do is watch him around Prince and the other hatchlings of the clan to see the truth of it. Where the Queen trains them from a young age in battle tactics, Borealis trains their minds and hearts, opening their eyes and senses to the things around them in ways that will help them grow and thrive even in the harshest of situations.
