 Lajos is an old dragon. His deep, rocky voice isn't heard much, but it isn't his intimidating sound or stature that catch most dragons' attention-- it's the deep wounds, bound tightly but still oozing blood. Where they came from he's never truly told; the story changes every time someone asks. He's had them for as long as anyone who's known him can remember, and he never seems to heal.

He employed himself as a guard for the clan, at first, when he was mostly healthy. Since, he's accumulated a lifetime's worth of gouges and gashes-- down his thick legs, along his flank, even across his chest, where his armor protects. Most of them heal at a normal pace, but as one disappears, another tear in his hide takes its place, inexplicably, and ceaselessly. Magic, likely, a curse gained from some ill-willed enemy, but who (or what) he must have angered is a mystery.

He travels, mostly, looking for younger, fitter dragons to take his place in defense of the Clan. Despite his wounds, he trains and fights with the vigor of those who join him. Any who comment are leveled with a glare and quickly silenced. He does his job, and that is all that matters.
