When Giftig was a young hatchling, he resided in the Scarred Wasteland with his original clan. They were very kind and loving to him. Always making sure to cater to his every need. However, he wasn't allowed to leave the lair, on account of the fact that he was a very sickly hatchling. At first, being tethered to his nest wasn't so bad; his clan members would take care of him and keep him company. But as time went on, his friends went on to serve the Plaguebringer. Forcing Giftig to watch as they all left him and went on to do greater things. Granted, he was happy for them, but as each one left, he grew lonelier and lonelier. And eventually, he had enough.
