History "the child who isn’t embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth." known early life not much is known about wolf. the young dragoness showed up one day, barely fitting in her scarred wings, and introduced herself to the clan's matriarch, tropic, as strangely as one would expect from a ragged stranger. "i know i'm a wolf." she had said, stretching bloody- no, that was crackle- wings casually. tropic couldn't turn what was basically a hatchling away, so the motherly dragoness summoned wolf to follow her to the meadow rock for an official greeting to the entire clan. full of refugees, the scorched wetland's tiny refuge accepted wolf without judgment. the following years wolf enjoyed her stay at the refuge and wordlessly followed the rules of the clan founders, tropic and her mate whitewidow. things were normal. she hunted, sunbathed, and explored. at some point, she and two other refugees, mistkissed and surana, formed their trio. all three were skilled explorers and warriors. mistkissed was the son of a drifting coatl pair of the clan, both would later leave and let their son stay behind. surana was a feisty mirror who was fiercely loyal and a little too enamoured with their matriarch. the group named themselves the wanderers and grew to become close friends. yet, wolf kept silent about her origins. now on one particular journey, surana had spotted a glimmering mass in the stream they'd been casually passing by. the lithe mirror had swiftly hopped rock to rock to reach the creature. it was a catatonic dragoness, not deceased as the mirror had previously exclaimed. mistkissed, also the silent type, glanced over to wolf before returning his gaze to the beautiful coatl laying motionless in the running water. the powerful tundra, with the help of her partners, hoisted the limp dragoness onto her back and started toward the camp. a mystery was starting to unfold. |
