The life of a scholar, eh? What a deal it must be, surrounded by that endless knowledge all the time. More so the peace, though. Oh, the peace.

Last isn’t exactly what you might call the most social of dragons. His parents played a part in this as they continuously urged him to take on roles he had no interest in, causing him to fight with them constantly. Experiencing this kind of distrust with sharing his ideals with other dragons since childhood, he has become accustomed to keeping to himself. However, he has a genuine personality and good morals, making him an extremely valuable dragon to have around.

His current occupation as a scholar arose from living near a library at the most impressionable time in his life. Even though his parents never approved, he was always sneaking away to dive into the pages upon pages of information he was met with. Books were his peace and quiet, his escape from reality into a better one. He quickly realized that learning and knowing were his true passions, and focused his energy into building himself into a well-read academic.

Before joining his current Clan, Last met his mate Once at the very ends of the Southern Icefield, both seeking to journey towards any sort of new life. Neither of them were particularly outgoing, but they shared the same sadness of misunderstanding, and quickly bonded over helping each other. Last and Once have had many children together, who have gone to explore the world on their own and serve under different deities. The two Wildclaws try their best to encourage their hatchlings to follow their own passions, so that they may pass down what wasn’t given to them.

He and his mate chose their own names upon arriving to their Clan in Hulmoor, located at the edge of the Shifting Expanse and quite near to the ocean. Last liked the finality of the word, and the way it made him feel accomplished. Once liked the open-ended opportunities that her name suggested. Also shortly after settling, Last conjured beautiful runic markings to paint his and his mate’s bodies, so that they may have something to always tie them together. Her symbols portray kindness and represent Last’s everlasting love for her. His own runes mean something quieter: the gentle reminder of wisdom and the underlying current of luck. He keeps his markings covered, as though he feels the need to protect them; another effect of his parents’ judgement.
