Syringa was born in a Wind clan and, true to the nature of that element, decided to see the world and fly off to see the world. Her most recent clan had been a Water clan, where she lived with her brother, but they parted ways to see other parts of the world - he (#282240) to a Fire clan, she to an Ice clan. She takes after her parents, who have also been hopping from clan to clan to experience different aspects of Sorneith.

Syringa has adapted well to the life in a chillier climate. She came to the clan unnamed but soon received a name based on the plant her coloring mimicked. Clan leaders graciously allowed her to use clan funds to bring out the true potential of her colors. Her new genes help her blend into the flora, mostly in The Windswept Plateau and The Viridian Labryrinth, and aid her in her insect gathering. Syringa often sets up temporary camps in those other territories during her expeditions. Due to the distance and time involved, she often utilizes clan couriers to carry portions of her catch back to The Southern Icefield.

When not traveling on expeditions, Syringa will do some insect gathering in the Southern Icefields, mostly during spring and summer. She also helps with the harvest in the clan's gardens, especially the smaller plants that need a delicate touch.
