Ambriel
Who fears the Wolf, should never enter the Forest
Ambriel wasn't always welcomed in the clan, he often hid among the trees and bushes, his eyes a glimmering purple as he'd hunt in the darkness.
His fierce demeanor betrayed the feeling of melancholy, he was in fact all alone in this world and secretly longed to meet other Skydancers. Alas he was far from his homeland a place he only remembers in his dreams.
On one such lonely night he saw the figure of a gigantic wolf, it's grey pelt shimmering in the moonlight. As it approached the young dragon it asked.
"Why do you choose to hide in the evergreens like a predator in the night?"
The dragon lowered his head softly. "Because, I fear that if I should reveal myself that the dragons of this land may truly think I am a predator. My species rarely appear in this location and many have shunned us as legends or tricksters.."
The wolf took a heavy breath as it sat before him.
"I too know the feeling of loneliness. Many of the beast clan see our species as pests. That we only appear to eat livestock and cause mayhem.
My life is slowly fading away...but know young dragon that you have my blessing, if you are willing to protect the wolves of this forest and many others. I will bestow upon you a gift. And you will no longer be alone."
The dragon pondered the offer before nodding slowly. "If I can help you, I will but I doubt the other wolves would know my intent.."
The wolf suddenly burst into a thousand shards of light, a shapeshifter of the forest. It's fur pelt turned into a cape that it removed from it's back to place at the skydancer's feet.
"If you wear this pelt, all will know you are a friend to us young dragon."
The light faded and the dragon was again alone. He spent his time wandering further, but this time he had a mission to protect the wolves.
Through his journey he one day met two stunning Skydancers who found his way of dress curious. But after learning he was a wanderer quickly invited him to the clan.
Apollo was a little less trusting but Icarus convinced him that Ambriel would make a wonderful ally.
And a wonderful ally he made.
