Rodney was never happy with his life in his old clan. He'd often express his distaste by acting out and causing havoc whenever he'd go. It came as no surprise once he'd been cast out. He found it nearly impossible to live on his own and had started to become more reckless and thoughtless towards his own life.

It had been a run in with fate itself when he'd come across Eli, a being he didn't recognize originating from the planet he'd grown up to know. Rodney had considered he had nothing to lose when the strange entity had offered him aid and a place to stay. While he doesn't fully trust this new ally of his, Eli is the only one he could consider to be a friend at this point.
