Biography
R.I.P. Avery
March 23rd, 2002 - November 6th, 2016
Avery was a boy in my class that committed suicide early in the morning on November 6th, 2016. He was a kind soul that always seemed to be laughing, and he never discriminated against anyone. Popular or outcast, shy or outgoing, boy or girl, black or white; no matter what you were, he always treated everyone the same way: as a friend. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, but not without their consequences. On Monday, November 7th, the entirety of my high school dressed in blue and my grade wore our class shirts. We all skipped our last period for a memorial ceremony, and it was an emotional rollercoaster for everybody. People were crying and being comforted as a piano played in the background in his honor. Avery never knew the impact that his passing would have, but even so, it left a small hole in the hearts of all those that came in contact with him.
This dragon is my personal memorial for him. He is eternally youthful, which symbolizes his death, which came at too young an age. He is yellow, for the long, blonde hair that was his signature physical feature. His tertiary gene is blue, for the color the school wore in his memory due to it being his favorite color. Last but not least, he is a spiral for his energetic, positive nature.
Rest in peace Avery, who left this world too soon. May he be forever missed in all of our hearts.
