Nuri is the son of a spiritual healer - a dragon whom channels the energy of deities through themselves in order to heal the bodies of others. He was expected to take on this role one day himself. However, Nuri was a very logical soul: he believed in no god, and felt no loyalty to that which couldn't be proven to him. It came as no surprise, then, when he denied his line and left to pursue more modern forms of medicine by undertaking an apprenticeship regardless of his family's spite.

Nuri met Marcel, his current mentor, through the clan Gypsum's surgeon Cruor. The fellow was erratic - loud and full of energy he had never witnessed in the usually monotone fae breed, not to mention sleep-deprived - but Nuri was drawn to these odd traits. From then on, he accompanied his mentor in his pursuits of modern healing... Or more like babysat him, seeing as the fae neglected his own care so badly that Nuri feared for his health and sanity. Other dragons often question their strange relationship to this day. Does Nuri even learn from him anymore, or has he simply forgotten about his apprenticeship altogether in favor of taking care of Marcel?

He's also a total crybaby.
