Biography

Tangleflower is weird, even for a Spiral. Oh, he's charming enough when he slows his speech and organizes his thoughts enough to be coherent, although the duration of any of those moments is anybody's guess. But, well... look at him... When this dragon puts down roots, he really puts down roots, using them to anchor himself while he's at rest.

He's as hyperactive as any other Spiral, if not more so, when he's moving, and it comes as no surprise to anyone that hummingbirds and honeybees are Tangleflower's favorite foods. But when he's at rest, he can stay that way for days on end before pulling up his roots and moving again. There's some speculation as to whether it's possible for a dragon to have some Strangler in his ancestry or not! This behavior has freaked out the other Spirals more than once, causing them to chatter at him and prod him until they're absolutely sure he's still alive.

Tangleflower's exceptionally long rest periods make him ideal for watching over a nest, and he's been known to do this even when the nest isn't his. Given how strangely a couple of the offspring from these nests have turned out, his lair-mates are beginning to rethink whether allowing him to "help out" is such a good idea after all.
