    Wednesday is the great-granddaughter of Alpha and Beta. Her own grandfather, Mursili, was born at The Estate but decided to settle down in an allied Plague clan. There, her father Luke was born. Growing up in the Abiding Boneyard meant that Wednesday had a starkly different upbringing to anyone born on the island. Whereas they lived amongst lush groves, sparkling brooks and vast expanses of greenery, the Spiral had been surrounded by arid desert and the bones of dragons who had existed years, sometimes centuries before her.

    Despite what some think, Plague dragons are not all uncivilised. Whilst they love to spread destruction and decay, they still show a great amount of respect for the deceased. This is especially true of Wednesday. After she had completed her basic schooling, the Spiral decided to become an apprentice mortician.

    Wednesday is a skilled user of Plague magic and puts this ability to use in embalming and funeral rituals. However, one day she noticed something a little odd when trying out a new spell. It wasn't totally successful, and she had noticed a flicker of green light surround her hands as she worked. She consulted her mentor; he was surprised, and told Wednesday that she shouldn't be able to use that spell as it could only be used by Nature dragons. It seemed that her ancestry was allowing her to use a little Nature magic, too. She practised and practised, until she could use both branches of magic with equal ability. Wednesday grew into a very skilled mortician and she was very much in demand; clients' families would pay top dollar for her services.

    One sunny afternoon, Wednesday decided to pay a visit to her great-grandparents at The Estate. She really enjoyed the beautiful weather that Alpha and Beta were blessed with every day. I mean, the gloom of the Boneyard was cool too, but she liked to soak up some Vitamin D every now and again. They all got chatting over a cup of hot chocolate. The pair of Nocturnes lamented that the island's only mortician had just moved away. Wednesday barely hesitated in suggesting herself for the role - everyone adored island life, and she knew that she would be no exception. Plus, more time with her great-grandparents - it was a win-win!
