Biography

Elawen
The Peacemaker
"Such a skilled diplomat."

The youngest daughter of Marquess Solus and Marchioness Nevaer, like most of her siblings Elawen was educated with service to the crown in mind. Because of the wide range of personalities in her family, she became a skilled peacemaker from an early age. Noticing this skill in his young daughter, Marquess Solus set about having her taught multiple languages and educated on any cultures (including Beastclan ones) that seemed relevant. Some say she was even sent to learn from the silver-tongued diplomat Somnolent of the Clan of the Roaring Pines and his translator wife Mint. Her talented use of turn-of-phrase does seem to support the notion.

She equals her sister in charm, but is considerably less flirtatious, being more of a dignified lady in the persona she presents in public. Not being a known gossip or flirt gets her the true story more often than not, allowing her to perform her magic on quarreling friends. She never resents getting put into the role, because she gains considerable satisfaction from her ability to smooth things over.

Her hobbies are more or less an extension of her earlier education. She loves reading books in foreign languages and studying cultures, past and present. She has even written several research papers on the cultural impacts of various beliefs and practices, which the University has published. They have told her that if other paths don't work out, they would be happy to take her in as a professor of cultural studies or history. (written by Markhor)

Elawen had found her way into the territory mostly by accident; she wanted to see if she could get her hands on some old manuscripts that were in another territory, and she'd wound up landing on the island. Finding some through Brass and his rather well-taken care of collection, she found herself striking up conversation with the fledgling patriarch of the Bazaar and finding everything quite intriguing. It was then that she met with Lumine, and after speaking with both for a while, came to rather like the strange cultural melting pot that they were attempting to create and offered her services as a mediator for the Bazaar. They both accepted her quite readily, and even Alaula, who had been out at the time, seemed to take quite the shine to Elawen.

It's through her that the clan's knowledge of different cultures began to expand, and thus, their ability to reach other clans and take their wants and needs into account. Of the Bazaar's heads, Elawen is inarguably the most down to earth of them; she takes pride in her ability to settle disputes and organize jobs alongside Lumine, though she usually leaves anything involving money for him to organize.

Power Level
Average Potential (15): The priest has read the bones and sees nothing out of the ordinary. The link to their deity is as strong as any other dragon, and the power and magic they conjure is the same.
