Without any explanation, Theron brought him to the clan when he was just a hatchling and then left him alone to fend for himself. His anti-social nature and preference for the dark were originally thought to be due to his shadow heritage, but it soon became obvious that something was a bit off with the little fellow. Besides random bouts of talking to himself, he also seemed to have some control over the sentient fungus in the cave he slept in. At night over a dozen dwarf truffles would march out into the woods and return hours later with fish and other morsels for the hatchling. Besides the obvious question of how could a dwarf truffle fish, clan members who noticed this odd behavior wondered if the hatchling could possibly be the cause. Meanwhile Theron continued to observed the hatchling unnoticed.
