Daedimedes left the nest with much knowledge of invention and tinkering on his mind. Raised by two inventors, it was only natural for him to strive for greatness somewhere. He traveled looking for somewhere, anywhere, to begin inventing something useful. And one day he stepped into the Highland Bazaar, a marvelous fest of dragons hawking wares every day. It was as exciting as any festival and had twice the getup. He noticed everywhere he went, though, the ink on the many fliers and pamphlets being handed out were inconsistent and stained. His ideas grew large and soon he was off to find the clan leader to ask him about joining.

Soon he was under Raindrum's care, since he was still considered a hatching, but was able to continue heavy research into his new project. It wasn't long until he had snuck into an underground workshop near the Bazaar to start putting it all together. The workshop mainly consisted of dragon helpers knee and wing deep in ink trying to make copies of religious literature and lesson fliers. It was chaotic to say the least, but Daedimedes swore to himself they were anything but a lost cause. Soon he had invented the D-Light-Full copy printer, which could copy anything, print anything, and even chisel things into stone tablets. The dragons around him would no doubt still need to make a perfect copy of their flyer or book to have printed, but it would be a lot less work.

Later on as he helped keep the D-Light-Full working, a delightful young dragon named Moonmoon came to help him often. She started to mean everything to him, and he realized his printer was second best in his life. He asked her to help him for the rest of their lives, and she decided to stay.

His familiar was a gift to him as a sign of their love from Moonmoon.
