"Sometimes we just need a little push to help us grow."
╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯

How had it happened exactly? It had been so long she could hardly remember. Trying to recount on the memories was like grasping at the fading wisps of a dream. Her clan had been small, an ice clan settled in igloos was the place of her birth. She could remember the biting cold, snowball fights and warm hearths that she would curl beside as a hatchling. Her family had been small, her parents had been so deeply in love with one another and had plenty leftover to give to her. She was an only child, though she had siblings but they were much older and had left home in pursuit of their own happiness. She can vaguely recall the hushed whispers of her parents planning on hatching another nest after she was grown enough. Though they never had the chance to.

She can remember how life had changed when a neighboring clan settled beside them, how they hadn't hesitated to annex their small and modest home. After the new king came to power, life became grueling with gathering to support their so called 'protectors'. "Gather for us, and in return we will act like a wall around your tiny huts to keep you from harm". It was true that beasts were always a persistent threat in the frozen wastelands, so the deal struck that day seemed like a saving grace.

Of course they had been wrong, things always seem to go wrong for the kindest people. Despite the days of fishing or hunting, the frost bitten paws and growling stomachs: they never seemed to gather enough to satisfy their demands. Beast raids on their village had ceased, though the guards who accompanied the collector became a raid of their very own. "Please, this is all we were able to gather this month... we barely have enough for our children...". She can remember sitting with her parents to eat, though she was the only one with food in front of her on so many dark nights.

They had decided to leave, to pack up their small home and seek refuge elsewhere. Though the king had been outraged. He called them traitors, deserters, back stabbing knaves. He cursed them and hated them for abandoning his small kingdom. Life after their departure had turned dangerous, she can remember running - no, fleeing from the hired killers set on their trail. She can hear the snarls and see the shimmering orbs reflecting their lights when she closes her eyes. Though she can also see her mothers smile and kind words as she hands her a small lantern to illuminate the grotto they found shelter in.

She remembers spring, watching the trees bud with flowers and the grass turn green. Her father had picked a small flower for her that day, she can recall how small if felt in her hand. It was still a closed bud, the petals tucked away safely. "Sometimes, all we need is a little push to help us grow". Her father kissed her cheek before catching up with the front of their procession, leaving her alone with the delicate thing. She watched that flower, thinking how lovely it would be if it just... Her breath caught as she watched the petals unfurl into a brilliant hue of gold. Her eyes wide as she looked to the grove of budded flowers beside her, and thought but a single word: Bloom.

It was magic. She can only guess that their newfound surroundings helped draw out this hidden gift. Living in a frigid and desolate place where nothing can grow, can put a damper on one's druid abilities. Finding out that she could manipulate flora was a saviour to her people, she could make fruit grow out of season and weave vines to make safe groves to hide them at night. For once she felt as though she held power over their situation. She felt in control.

Though their pursuers were getting tired of this chase. The attack had happened at night, it was swift and brutal. This she cannot remember, only distant screams and the suffocating smell of iron. After, she can only assume someone had found her and taken her to Interstellar. Ophala and the healer Ayaka had nursed her back to health. Before the previous leaders passing, she served as her brief apprentice to better grasp her new abilities. She had expected to own a shop of sorts, maybe as a florist; certainly being a clan leader had never crossed her mind. But, she enjoys being the voice for the dragons who call Interstellar their home. She is a force of empathy and compassion beside her war-hardened co-leader Saranus.

Upon entering the bustling clan, an Imperial adjourned in the colours of autumn will be among the first to warmly welcome you.

This is the beloved leader, Aralicien.

bio by Noonchi

Beloved Aralicien, six years of age.
Leading her clan after ages of sage.
Springtime blooms, autumn falls.
Winter snows, summer calls.

Coming from ice, moving across lands.
Until she came upon a particular clan.
She learned and grew over time.
Watching the buds bloom and the sprigs of thyme.

Thorns sparked, roses budded.
Tulips bloomed, flowers flooded.
This ancient power was hers to control.
It helped her dragons and stories foretold.

She emerged from the screams and the stories of old.
Forging a new destiny with a mind of bold.
Being a leader never crossed her mind.
An unexpected shift turned around that find.

She leads the clan with compassion and empathy.
Never would she let her home be lonely and empty.
Interstellar would be home for her in high and low.
Sometimes we just need a little push to help us grow.
