the giant, whose eyes had witnessed countless lifetimes, incessant wars, and even the rise of the world he called home, lowered himself to the smaller being who stood before him. he never could believe himself above any other, despite his enormous size. his heart was larger than his physical features and always he made sure whoever he spoke to matched him as equals.

he blinked slowly, as if performing the action any more quickly would cause wind to blow from his lashes. the giant started to speak, his voice a deep rumble that felt akin to the trembling of the earth.

"greetings, traveller. why may I have the pleasure of meeting you?"
