Valfor

A wonderous and mysterious creature of beauty and power. Valfor was once a daredevil of a Skydancer, seeking magic stronger than any dragon could understand. Her lust soon became her downfall as her eyes shone like a thousand stars from attempting a spell she thought her body could handle. This, of course, led to her loss of sight, but it also led to her gaining the wisdom and strength needed to change who she was inside. She became humble and quietly loving of the world around her. She's the best when it comes to advice and understanding spells for the first time. Calm, book smart, a lovely addition to most clans, but sadly, she seems to be quick to sacrifice herself when others are in harm's way. Despite her kind nature and soft smiles, she doesn't seem to find anything to laugh about anymore. Valfor still needs time to sit back and accept what happened to her since the constant reality of it makes her relive her mistakes in her mind every single day. It's almost as though she's being this kind to make up for how self-centered and greedy she used to be.

Her eyes and tears are almost a blinding white from extreme emotions, but normally, her eyes look more like blue galaxies are trapped in them. Small white specks float around her eyes almost like stars themselves. Her magic is orange, and she often uses telekinesis which does give these items an orange hue when floating. In battle, she often summons shining white swords to float around her and do her bidding. They act like shields when need be.

She's covered in wrappings to symbolize the full extent of her powers being locked away. By doing this, she allows herself to take the opportunity to find strength through the guidance and bonds of others, not just her own studies. Her newfound wisdom has earned her place back as one of the Arcanist's children. Speaking of which, her goblin familiar is actually a very close companion of hers! They keep her company and sleep with her on her bed of straw every night under the warmest blanket in the Ashfall Waste.

Valfor's room is large and very cozy. Always well-lit, soft carpet covers the stone ground, the walls are carved neat and smooth, and books line the make-shift shelves she made by taking out chunks of rock out of her room's walls. She uses a special kind of ink that her magic can pick up so she can read the material that way. It takes much longer for her magic to process normal ink though, so many of the books on the shelves are filled journals of either her life or her studies in magic. Around her room are vases of beautiful Ashfall roses that she sometimes picks to wear with her bandages.

Valfor is bisexual! She's also larger than most Skydancers. Her markings and forehead gem glow when she's using magic. Her voice can shake the strongest of warriors. She has a crush on her best friend, Alloy, a fellow blind female dragon that has suffered her own trials in life. She finds Alloy fascinating. Valfor is learning how to deal with Shade magic and children infected with this curse (gift, Alloy corrects her on), and with that, the two have been able to come up with blueprints of spells to help ease the Shade inside of these young ones. Valfor honestly didn't think she'd be handling hatchlings before the loss of her sight, and it still scares her to do so since she doesn't want to impose the flaws she has onto such innocent and openminded hatchlings. She thinks hatchlings are some of the smartest dragons she's ever met.
