 B I O G R A P H Y
Baralinel is, for the lack of a better term, a beastmaster. She calls herself a zoologist for the sake of fitting in to the scholarly air of the library, but she's never had a formal training in academia nor does she care about sticking strictly to the scientific method. She studies the behavior of wild animals and familiars, specializing in birds and mammals, and despite her lack of proper research Baralinel clearly knows what she's doing. The fact that she has tamed a sunpot clouddancer is enough proof for the other faes, although Rhamantus constantly scoffs her improper, unscientific work. Like other Chromata dragons, Baralinel's magic is in her beautiful voice. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that her spellbinding singing helps her tame her beasts, although her courage and down-to-earth approach certainly helps. The fae may enjoy dressing in gossamer silks and beautiful accessories in her downtime, but she won't hesitate to shed them in order to do her work- nor will she care if her dress gets ripped should she be forced to calm an animal before she can change.

I N V E N T O R Y
 Boldul is Baralinel's greatest achievement; he doesn't even go after hatchlings anymore, although Baralinel and Mirwyn are the only dragons who can get close to him without getting snapped at. Incidentally, he makes a good library guard, and enjoys basking on the building's roof. Kema is a playful creature, and it's obvious to anyone who watches her that she was tamed for the sole purpose of tempering Boldul's aggressive nature. Many of the library fae enjoy playing games with Kema, and the clouddancer really likes playing with Tishembra's familiar Kare. Baralinel's field notebook. It's crammed full of notes and observations in tiny writing, as if she's trying to use as much space per page as possible. A gift from Mirwyn. The enchanted dust glows when the bottle is shaken, making for a very effective, and quite beautiful, lamp.
R E L A T I O N S H I P S
Mirwyn- Baralinel's beautiful mate. It's exceedingly rare for a Tenebrous Chromata and a Lucent Chromata to be in the same clan, let alone mated to one another, yet here they are. Baralinel is very protective of Mirwyn. Rhamantus- Baralinel's rival, mainly because he just won't give her a break about how she works. Normally she ignores him, but sometimes he grates on her nerves to the point of fraying them. Unsurprisingly, Boldul chases Rhamantus whenever he gets the chance. Weseil- The two are cousins, although they don't know it.
