Lilac works the Dragon's Lava in the Hewn City trading post. 70% of his earnings goes towards the clan's funds. He provides lodging, drinks, and food to guests. "If it comes; let it. If it goes; let it." A dragon embodying charisma and charm, Lilac is one of the most agreeable Lavaburst dragons. He uses this trait to his advantage, using his lovely tavern as a means to lure in the targets of his clan's assassins, spies, etc, so that they may be taken down. One might be so enraptured with his honeyed words that they may not notice Lilac slipping mimic powder into their drink. He shares all his genes and breed with his mother. - Likes: Light, Bright Colors, Jewels, Gems, Being in charge, Taverns - Dislikes: Dark colors, Dull Colors, Napping, Lounging Around - Secret(s): ? - According to the Sornieth Floriography Guide, blooming vine stands for beauty. - Lilac's Paddyfowl is named Kyuti. Unlike the typical Paddyfowl, Kytui's leaves are layered in a poisonous toxin that can make an unlucky victim fall asleep. Lilac uses this to his advantage. - Tavernkeeper - He owns a hoard of art he deems beautiful. Art he deems beautiful includes pretty much any and every piece he sees. - He is loved by some dragons purely for his sheer looks and charisma. - Lilac will rarely sleep. His friends encourage him to sleep more, but he refuses. He prefers to be working as much as possible. Additionally, this means he doesn't take too many breaks in a day. - He's the type to make more obscene jokes. - His gemstone minerals/gems are onyx. Not really a valuable stone, but popular in centaur arrows and other forms of weaponry. - Lilac's son, Blackthorn, resides with the Clarus Clan, an ally of the Lavaburst Clan. He works as a thief taught by the Dragon's Lava regular Kitten. - His brother, Hope, is missing. He is one of Deja's and Darya's blackmarket fodder, but they fear releasing him. His name is currently Kunzite for the valuable gems embedded in his body. - He will sometimes visit his friend, Wisteria, in the Inn of the Illuminated in Lavaburst City. The Inn of the Illuminated is also a tavern and, while not competing financially, Lilac and Wisteria like to make bets on how much treasure they can gain in a week or month. - In rare moments of idleness, Lilac can sometimes reminisce about his old home. It was somwehere in the Starwood Strand... and it was oh, so beautiful... There was a lake so shallow that you would look like you were walking on water. At night, it would look like you were walking on the stars. He remembers his brother and his sister... pleading for story after story and how their mother would oblige. When his father returned home at night from hunting, he would tell them more stories. Simpler times. - Lilac cannot remember his parents' faces. This fact haunts him and will even keep him awake at night, lamenting how he should have got a portrait drawn of them. - If a wounded or weary dragon were to stumble into his tavern, he'd pity them and care for them. However, he isn't the type to do things without benefiting in some way. He'd want something in exchange for his efforts. Origin Story If you were to get close to Lilac... Really, really close... He'd tell you about his childhood and how he lived in "the most beautiful place in Sornieth", the Starwood Strand. He would recall the starry blossoms of the trees, how the night sky looked... That there was a lake nearby so shallow that if you were to step into it on night it would look like you're standing on the night sky. He would say that he lived in a dream. (insp.) Lilac's mother was a proud warrior who retired only after a centaur maimed her wing. She was a strong, persistent dragoness that Lilac would later say was "warm like fire, but as strong as it too". With her inability to fly, her mate would gather and farm plants for his family to eat. He was a mellow and talented guy. He loved his family so dearly and would always try to craft gifts for them. Lilac may sheepishly admit how he still has and treasures the stuffed cat his father made him when he was young. What Lilac remembers most clearly are his siblings: Dura and Hope. Dura was carefree, blissful, and an especially wonderful cook (though Lilac would never admit it, his favorite of her recipes was her Starfall Soup). On the other hand, Hope was a very timid and anxious, a lover of poems of the stories his parents told. Lilac might joke around and say how he never really was hopeful, despite his name. Of course, childhood comes to a close. When he was almost an adult, Lilac left. Before then, he had never been outside of the Starfall Isles and wanted to see more. It turns out that life was more than pink crystals and Arcane vortices. Sometimes it was dark, ashen volcanoes and fierce winds on green cliffs. He loved this new world. Eventually, he came upon the Lavaburst Clan. At the time, they were still residing in the Ashfall Waste. Despite being a non-Fire Tundra, he was so entranced and amazed by the clan that he insisted on joining. He went on to discover himself and learn various facets of his identity including personality and sexuality. Above all, Lilac remembers the love that his new clan has given him. Fish Fillet - A Light-native fish filleted nicely and thoroughly, tinged only slightly by the fire. It costs 30t. Flavorful Fruits - A dish consisting of a plethora of juicy and plump fruit, this dish is all kinds of sweet and lovely. It costs 30t. Starfall Soup - An odd dish focused heavily on Starfall Blossoms, a native plant to the domain of Arcane. It isn't very popular with customers, but Lilac insists on keeping it around. While he doesn't tell anyone why, the reason why is because it was his favorite dish when he was younger, made by his talented sister. It costs 30t. Mystery Platter - This changes depending on who's ordering. It might not even be food, who knows? The cost varies. Foxfire Beer - An peculiar drink made by the fermentation of starches. It appears to be glowing a neon blue. It costs 20t. Dragonhome Wine - A simple drink of fermented grapes. It looks a oddly solid... It costs 20t. Zephyr Tea - It reminds you of the most peaceful place in all the world--the Zephyr Steppes. After consuming this tea, you feel both calm and... tired? It costs 20t. Wrymwound Cider - A favorite of Plague Flight dragons. It looks disgustingly similar to the pustule lake that lies in the center of the Scarred Wasteland. It costs 20t. Chemical Haze - Another favorite of Plague dragons, the drink glows a neon green and tastes very sweet, sickly sweet. Saccharine, even! It costs 30t. Shifting Expanse Energy - After drinking this you feel like you could bounce around the walls! It costs 20t. Sunbeam Restore - When your adventures have tuckered out, it's best you relax with a nice, warm cup of Sunbeam Restore. It costs 20t. Icefield Ale - It's really, REALLY cold. You're sure if you drank this, your insides would freeze. It costs 20t. Water of a Thousand Currents - Water for the sophisticated, or so Lilac says. It costs 20t. (It's just water.) Starfall Brew - It's some sort of exotic, expensive brew. It is rumored to give one temporary magic abilities. It costs 100t. Viridian Mead - A weak alcoholic drink of fermented honey and water, but mostly water. Just a little sweet. It costs 20t. Ashfall Lava - A strong, powerful alcoholic drink. Not for the weak of heart. Drink with caution! The Dragon's Lava is not responsible for the burning of any throats. It costs 40t. Taste of the Lavaburst - A strong drink with a sweet aftertaste. Tastes like the sun's rays pouring in through the window in the morning. It costs 40t. The Dragon's Lava Regulars Kitten - A Fae that has became good friends with Lilac over the years. They're quite close. She works as a thief who steals from merchants, but Lilac has persuaded her to keep away from his clan's merchants. She's good friends with Lilac's son, Blackthorn, too and has taught him of thievery despite Lilac's wishes. (Umber Petals/Umber Butterfly/Azure Stained, Arcane Flight)) Wispy - A powerful trans male snapper that isn't afraid to snap bones. He is an assassin of an elite group known as Unity that sometimes retrieves and eliminates targets in the tavern. He's friends with Lilac and Kitten. (Latte Giraffe/Blush Hex/Blush Runes, Earth Flight) ??? - A mysterious Imperial, adorned with red cowl and mantle. He's a quiet, rather large fellow, and Lilac only talks to him when he orders food or drinks. He drinks rather lightly, and is usually found in the dark, hushed corner of the tavern. (Umber Petals/Umber Butterfly/Abyss Stained, Earth Flight) Strummer - A Guardian with quite the musical talent. He works at the tavern, playing music for the customers to enjoy while they go about their businesses. Strummer keeps the place in a joyful mood, but also will participate in the occasional tavern fights. (Grapefruit Skink/Grapefuruit Spinner/Carmine Underbelly, Wind Flight) Cook - A chef that's very good at his craft. He's a Coatl that doesn't talk too much, but sure does love his pay. (Spring Skink/Spring Spinner/Magenta Stained, Fire Flight)
