Shi-Hua's name translates from an old Pearlcatcher dialect to "corpse flower"; an almost too-perfect moniker for him that leaves one wondering if it was the name he was born under, or one he gave himself. It suits his personality either way, which teeters precariously between the benevolent and the macabre. His hobbies include collecting, cleaning, and turning bones into jewelry, collecting skulls he deems pretty, and using a variety of corpses as planters for various flora.

Over the years, Shi-Hua became very disenchanted with the Plaguebringer's creed and spent a great deal of time drifting from one clan to another, trying to find one that suited him. His meandering led him outside the borders of his homeland, the Scarred Wasteland, though never terribly far. He'd still not found a place to call his own when tales of a clan of vicious turncoats living on the Scarred Wasteland's border reached him. Intrigued, then enthralled the more he heard, Shi-Hua set out to find and join Ignitias.

On his way back to the Wasteland, he temporarily took shelter with the Twisting Crescendos. He'd meant to only stay a day or two, but wound up staying considerably longer after meeting Rampage. The two imprinted, and were quickly mated, but Shi-Hua had difficulty finding peace in the Wind clan. Lovely as it was, his personality just didn't suit their clan at all.

However now armed with knowledge that Ignitias was real and not just a fable ( how could it be, when it was the Crescendos' ally? ), and an adoring mate not far off, Shi-Hua set back off to the Wasteland.

As it turned out, his personality fit in perfectly with the motley group of outcasts that made up Ignitias. His love of plants landed him swiftly at Thistle's side, joining her as one of the clan's Seedkeepers. Thistle's winding way of speech and eccentric personality made him feel right at home, and he was more than happy to learn all she had to show him. Animosity, a rather delightfully malicious Nocturne, was another pleasant surprise. As deceptively pleasant in demeanor as Shi-Hua, they were soon good friends.
