"The ocean is so vibrant, Ma!"
Alfie is the second child to be adopted by Elega and Pansy. While he knows he's adopted, he doesn't care too much about knowing where he came from. His home is here, so he doesn't bother himself with wondering. His mothers are very open and accepting, which means he has been free to express himself however he feels. He loves colours, and he loves how the ocean contains so many. The best colour, in his opinion, would absolutely be pink - he loves tying ribbons of pink around himself. He also has an affinity for flowers, as he loves their vibrant colours, their variety and how cute they are. Along with his love for flowers, he has a love for animals of all kinds. He is a dragon who's not afraid to express himself, and he loves to do this by adorning himself with colourful ribbons, flowers, and cute clothing. Alfie is quite innocent, he always sees the good in people and could never bring himself to hurt a fly. (He quite likes insects, in fact - they're as pretty as the flowers he finds them on.) He's heard the older dragons talk about their views on non-violence, and he agrees, frankly. From his view, he doesn't see the point in intentionally hurting other people. (What could you gain from that?) He truly is as good-natured as you can get, and he loves to try and help wherever he can. Everyone appreciates his kindness, though in some situations it might be better for him not to get involved. One of Alfie's favourite things to do is dance - he loves how his ribbons flow with his movements, and how much fun it is to let yourself go to the rhythm. He may not be as graceful as a skydancer, but he wont give up. He'll get there with practice, he believes. He gets on well with his sister, Spindrift. The two are nearly inseparable - they can sit and hang out for hours and hours and never get fed up with eachother. It's rare to see them apart. Alfie's optimistic and friendly nature always shines through, no matter the situation. 
Like his sister, Alfie's origin is a mystery to most. It had been just over a month since Elega and Pansy had decided to adopt Spindrift, and they were fully taking on their roles as parents. While they were out one morning, helping Pansy gather materials for her artwork, they noticed something fall into the water. At first, they payed no mind to it - things fell in the water a lot - but when they noticed whatever it was struggling, they checked it out. If an injured animal or something had fallen in, there was no point in leaving it to suffer. To their surprise, it was a bright red hatchling. While Pansy helped to calm the hatchling down, Elega looked around to try and find whoever was supposed to be caring for him. However, there was nobody to be found - no sign of his parents, or family, or anyone at all. They took him back to the clan, and after some consideration, decided to adopt him too. They still don't know how he got there. It remains a mystery, though he sometimes has hazy memories of a large, red figure. |
