Biography

____Growing up the only Bogsneak from a long line of Nocturnes wasn't fun, especially when her older siblings took precedence over her. This allowed Malheure to escape her family's estate to wander among the people. She became rather good at bargaining and sauntering through the docks. She learned the slang and blended in easily enough, until her father caught her. In a fit of rage, he locked her in her room and refused to let her leave the house. Malheure did the only thing she could think off. She ran away, selling some of her possessions to buy passage on a boat leaving their land's port.

____In the middle of their traveling, a pirate band attacked the ship the young dragoness was on and took her as a hostage. Using her wits, she managed to save her self from enslavement and death, becoming part of the crew. Malheure dedicated herself to her new life, working up the ranks slowly. There were few who saw Malheure as an equal, let alone a crew member. In the middle of the night Malheure found herself bound and thrown overboard, however a hoard of Maren following the boat saved her. But only in return that she throw the victims of their raids overboard for them to enjoy. She readily agreed, hoping to live another day.

____Upon returning from the dead, the crew members who threw Malheure overboard avoided her at all costs. Her "killers" were slowly picked off... one by one. Everyone started to get antsy, but none of them questioned her. In the middle of the night one slacked off and fell overboard to his death. Another fell off the crow's nest... too bad a Maren pod grabbed him before they could reach him. The last two were dispatched by Malheure herself, but she threw them overboard and let the Maren feast before her Captain confronted her. She refused to confess, stating all the deaths were payment for the sea saving her life; the Captain accepted the answer. From that one point Malheure was the First Mate, and when the Captain passed into the next life of natural causes she took over his vessel and his crew.

For some reason, no one questioned a woman at the helm.

The Maren

____A complicated relationship, to say the least. The Maren pod was following the pirate ship in hope of shelter and food, but were too weak to hunt able-bodied dragons. Malheure became their savior, and the pod is in her debt after the feasts she has supplied them with. The dragoness steps out of her boundaries to ensure they're safely hidden and have the supplies they need at their disposal. This has lead to a solid relationship, one where Malheure has gained their utmost loyalty.
