all Lightning Flight dragons are workaholic maniacs leads the overwhelming majority of visitors to Stonepick Mine incredibly confused when they find out that the personalities of the two dragons seemed to be reversed. Not to say that Skylark doesn't care about her career- she treats it as seriously as anyone possibly could. However, she isn't so obsessed with it that she puts down the less dedicated dragons of the workforce. Skylark easily forgives, a trait that Breccia looks upon with disgust. Skylark is courageous and kind, though not the most intelligent of dragons. She doesn't mind the fact that she isn't as quick to think as her colleagues- all that matters to her is that she loves her job and wants to keep on doing it. Skylark was the first outsider to come work at the mine. Having left her home in search of adventure, Skylark got lost on the Shattered Plain and thought herself dead when she found the silhouette of a cabin on the horizon. After a day of traveling she'd reached it- Harring's Hearth, residence of Rhyo and the weekend retreat of many of the miners. Rhyo noticed immediately the bright cyan eyes of the Tundra- she held a quick job interview and appointed Skylark the rock and ore specialist due to her ability to discern different types of rocks. Skylark's ability to differentiate different rocks and ores comes from her incredibly keen sense of smell. While most would think rocks simply smell of dirt, each has a different scent to Skylark. Granite smells like the smoke of a campfire- iron has a metallic scent so strong that it's tastable. Skylark has been able to use her intensely strong olfactory nerves to guide rock and ore miners to new sources if she's smelled a sample of the desired rock, similar to how a dog can sniff someone out if given, say, a piece of someone's shirt.
