Unlike most ice dragons, Caudata radiates a bizzare heat and white light which will warm and comfort normal dragons, but repel and possibly burn dragons possessed or controlled by demons or other shadows. Her powers seem to ebb and flow with emotions generated by herself or the dragons around her at the moment. They seem to grow stronger with joy and pleasure, but decrease drastically with fear or doubt. Her natural heat radiation will become stronger with the more fire she consumes.

Caudata is a strange dragon, proving to be nothing like her birth flight several times over. She is headstrong, mischievous, and wild. She apparently lives off of a steady diet of fire, and actively enjoys crunching hot coals. She seems to be a very bizzare type of nocturne, having her own set personality and not copying as nocturnes are known for. She can be very ferocious, and has trained herself to stare fear straight in the face, and pretty much become fearless in the process.

Some say Amaterasu had a hand in bringing Caudata to the clan, however the mysterious goddess has not stated whether this is true or not.
