Personality
To most people, Anat is a conservative and dignified researcher who is not only known for her brilliant work, but also for her level-headed attitude. This is all true. However, for the people that work with her and aren’t her immediate family, Anat is also callous in her calculations and stubborn when following her ambitions. She is not one to make small talk outside of work, unless you are her family. To her daughter, she is caring, clever, and aspiring. To her lover, she is beautiful and dedicated. To anyone else, she can be terrifyingly brutal.

Early Years
Anat was not hatched in the nursery, but did fall under Gwilym’s care when she was a hatchling and was later given to Valera as her charge when she was old enough to travel. Since then, she has spent all of her childhood living in the Viridian Labyrinth under Valera’s tutelage. As the Viperaden’s power grew, she was offered more educational opportunities through a series of private tutors. Due to her early brilliance and maturity, Valera started having her assist in shade experiments while she was still a young teen. Instead of disgusting her or upsetting any moral values, this piqued Anat’s interest to continue shade research even after she moved to the Southern Icefield. Prior to moving, she was provided an egg with her future charge, who she would regard as her child. Once settled in the Icefield, Anat would continue her research on Feral Shades while nurturing and teacher her daughter, Anaya

Triva
While she has a very similar disposition as Valera, she is a lot more compassionate. This is especially true with how she treats her daughter, Anaya. There are two people that will make her smile and laugh openly; her daughter, Anaya, and her lover, Tacitus.

Anat has horrible memory visually speaking. She tends to forget a lot of new information and has to set up a system based on olfactory mnemonic devices. It's helpful to her research because she knows what a feral smells like and can properly warn her team how far a feral may be, but it's also a risk because sometimes she forgets to feed her 'tamed ferals'. She has an ongoing joke with her mate where she forgets his name and pretends to not know him. In reality, she knows his smell by heart, which is why she'll always remember him as her lemongrass.

Triva
She later manages to domesticate three Ferals, which do not fit within the facility. They are incredibly dangerous, very tall, and start to smell like rot if left near the heating units for too long. No one else but Anat can control them - and even that isn’t always guaranteed when they’re hungry.

She doesn’t view shade-infected dragons as beings with agency. Anat sees shades and shade-infected as test subjects, this is most evident with how she treats her younger ‘brother’ Hanna.

Job Description
She’s a shade researcher located in the Snowsquall Tundra who studies a strange species of shade known as Ferals. These creatures are known to be the size of a guardian and made of a mismatched combination of frozen tar, various fragments of trees and rocks, and the preserved corpses of its meals, both beast and dragon alike.

NOTES
Her name is based on a goddess, but I forgot the reason exact why I choose it. She used to be Fae, but now she’s Tundra. I got her around the same time that I got Athan, which is part of the reason why they are like siblings, the other reason is because she is part of the Coli team with him. She’s among the first three dragons that has reached level 25.
