Biography

"What do you call a Bogsneak that eats all the clan's food and refuses to share? A HOG-sneak!"

A Bogsneak who was infected with a similar disease to Mojack's during an unfortunate trip to the Plague domain, causing grotesque eyes to form all over him. The openings these eyes are embedded in frequently bleed, meaning he constantly has to wrap himself in bandages to attempt to stop the blood flow. He sought out Myura in the hopes that she could cure him and undo his agonizing curse, and in the meantime, he's taken shelter in her den. At first, he made the other dragons quite uncomfortable with his appearance, but he quickly won them over with his cheerful demeanor and boisterous laughter. Now the most unbearable thing about him is the gratuitous amount of dad puns.

He wouldn't let any of his clanmates know, but in reality, Poppy is incredibly lonely. He had a mate before he was infected with the decay, and out of fear of his vile appearance, she abandoned him. He wishes for nothing more than to be normal again, so maybe he could finally return to her; in the meantime, he'd do anything to fill the void she left. This is what led him to nest with Adonis, which turned out to be a very poor decision.

After the disappearance of his mute daughter, Paradigm, Poppy has been deeply anguished with grief and concern; he's even further disgusted with his previous mate in light of her indifference towards the situation. He would give anything to see his poor little girl again, and desperately hopes her disability isn't causing her too much trouble out in the real world.

Myura and Tango attempted to treat him with the same concoction they used to cure Mojack, but all it accomplished was causing his demon-eyes to bubble violently and cry a vile fluid, causing him intense pain in the process. It seems like it'll take a lot more research to cure his plague; the most the clan can do for him right now is supply him with medicine to make it less contagious.

Clove wrote:
Clove's first venture into the wide world brought him to a clan in the Lightweaver's territory; to be exact, it was a bustling marble temple in the Hewn City. There was no need for a mercenary here, unfortunately, but the Spiral was soon relieved to discover that stopping in this clan wasn't a complete waste of his time...

While he was settling down in a spare room for travelers such as himself, Clove suddenly heard two voices behind him; spinning around to see who was there, he discovered two Bognseak! One was a male, his hide coloured a soft shade of pink and marred by green eyes and maroon rashes that were wrapped up in bloodied bandages. The other one was a female, smaller and forest green, with vibrant green lace and yellow roses decorating her body.

As it turns out, these two Bogsneak were a family; not in a related sense, but Poppy, the plague-mutated male, had adopted the green girl when she had been sent to the clan as a hatchling. Her name was Seastar, and she was all-too-reminiscent of her adopted father with her slight accent, her friendly demeanor, and her love of puns.

Yeah, that's right. Puns. Clove couldn't have been happier at this news; both of these Bogsneak loved puns, and they were some of the lamest dad jokes the Spiral had ever heard! He had first caught on when he heard Seastar refer to Poppy, her adopted father, as "Pops," and since then he had noticed more and more that they slipped every pun they possibly could into their everyday speech. Once, he confronted them about it, and started a full-on pun war.

"Give me a break, my puns are so much more Clove-r than yours!" Clove declared indignantly, staring down the pink, plagued Bogsneak before him.

Pointing to Clove's coiled tail, Poppy grumbled, "Oh c'mon now, you must be loopy if you think your puns are better!"

At this, the smaller green Bogsneak to Poppy's side barked, "Hey Pops, stop being such a Hogsneak! Let me tell some puns too!"

"Oh, I thought you were too Bogmeek to have pun wars with strangers."

"It's hardly a war, his puns Bogreek compared to yours! They're smellier than Cloves of garlic!"

"Your puns are so lame, they're going to make me Spiral into madness." Clove grumbled, rolling his eyes.

Seastar piped up again; "Don't go throwing a hissy fit, snakey. Yours are no better!"

...

A few days later, the three dragons found themselves to be best friends. They drove the clan crazy with awful, maddeningly lame puns, and picked up a lot of good material from one another. There wasn't much business here for Clove, though, so he stocked up on food for the journey ahead of him and prepared to depart.

"We were so lucky to have met you. It was almost like we found a four-leaf Clover," Poppy smiled sadly, wiping tears out of the large, grisly eye on his neck. Seastar, with an arm around the larger pink Bognseak, nodded in agreement.

"I'll never forget you two Bog-geeks..." Clove smiled sadly, and with a final wave goodbye, he departed from the temple.
