Omphalos' ties to Nozomi are murky, brushed off or spoken of in vague terms when asked. He came to the Sylvan Shrine, having relocated for unknown reasons from their allies, Clan Kelda's, territory. The reunion between the two was rocky- something that was to be expected after they had fled the defunct group in Plague, under the assumption the two wouldn't meet again. However, he put his expertise to use once more, assisting Nozomi in her endeavors, although he disagreed with her job. He began to craft insidious poisons, staying in the room next to hers. Rumor has it that he's trying to get past making powders and liquids, attempting to craft tiny creatures capable of causing great harm to even the largest dragon.

Getting any real information about his past is an endeavor best given up on. He crafts believable tales when he even deigns to answer; his mate, Nozomi, knows a few fragments, but stays tight-lipped. They've agreed to largely forget the past. He seems brusque and businesslike, cold in a chilling way. He carefully observes the others and tends to keep to himself, keeping his emotions largely under wraps. A protective streak for Nozomi still lingers from his previous job, and while he won't show it, he's concerned about- and baffled by- her illness.
