______ The proud daughter of an alchemist, Elementa prides herself on her scientific knowledge, and left her birth clan, Pluvia, to seek one where an alchemist was needed. The Starfall Isles seemed the perfect place to look, as she believed the dragons of Arcane flight valued superstition and magic over hard science and progress. She found her opening in the Purple Dreamers (a clan that was already friends with Clan Pluvia, to her surprise), who for the longest time had lacked a proper alchemist, and at once set up a cauldron and a lab. She'd never admit to being so idealistic as to have a dream, and instead would call it an ambition--to make some kind of great discovery that would benefit all of dragonkind. Her little sister Amana often helps her out in the lab.

______ Although Elementa is not openly disdainful of magic, she questions how much it is compatible with proper science, and values empirical data and tangible results over dreams and idealism. She is always tinkering and experimenting, trying to get new results instead of simply sticking to what works. She does not use living creatures or familiars in her experiments, but she has clashed with some of the other dragons over tossing discarded apparel and items from the food stores into her brews. In particular, she has a rivalry with the shamans Eboende and Calill, whose approach to alchemy is more magical than scientific--and she dislikes that their work sometimes involves ghosts and reanimated dead. She also has a romantic relationship with the clan's resident comedian, Katrin, whose ridiculous humor cheers her up after a stressful day of hard work and little results to show for it.
