(The Spear)

Dylan's primary job is to catch fish. Using nets, his spear, and even his teeth. However, he does things differently from Kai or Rilue. Because he's a nature dragon he's not as swift a swimmer as they are and can't breath water either. Instead, depending on the environment, he creates a water plant which floats on the surface; usually a giant lily pad.

The whole scene can be mildly amusing to onlookers. Here this large Imperial is standing on a lily pad spearing fish which Kai and rilue drive to the surface. Despite being a nature dragon and one with a father who has powerful nature magic, Dylan never really had anything but average levels of magic and never really showed much interest in farming. But, early on, he showed a keen interest in fishing. It was tricky to learn how he could fit into the dynamic Kai and Rilue already had but with enough trial and error, they made it work!

Dylan was sort of... An accident... Rilue and Kuroi just weren't happy being mates and Aisling was just starting her apprenticeship with Aoi; Rilue wanted change... Naturally, since Aisling was still rather young, Pumkith and her hadn't fallen in love yet. Rilue and him had a one time mating and became friends, but didn't really click. Shortly after Rilue started becoming closer with Aoi and Pumkith with Aisling.

It does make for a awkward explanation, though... His half sister is mates with his father... Despite the slight oddness in their genealogy, Dylan cares greatly for his older half sister and is very supportive of her's and his father's choice.
