Maple

Maple is the dragon who will probably never have a mate. That's okay though; she doesn't want one. It's not that she's self absorbed, she's really not. She's just, not that interested in other dragons. She's more intrigued by adventures-exploring and flying and did she mention exploring? Her mother once expressed concern, afraid Maple would get lost. Maple responded that she had the best navigational skills. And, well, she does for the most part. Maple is also the clan's best scavenger, or rather, she brings back some weird things from her explorations. Once she even brought back another dragon. He didn't stay long; the clan thinks either she or Ithir scared him away.
Sometimes Maple will disappear for a week or two at a time during her explorations, which is somewhat annoying because the other dragons have to pick up her duties, but she always comes back before anyone really starts worrying and bearing amazing (or just complexing and strange) treasures. She tends to bring back far too many weird textiles for her own personal hoard and stupid rocks and sun bleached bones for her sister Ithir. The clan has learned to ignore this because every once in awhile Maple brings rare or incredibly useful objects.
A lot of dragons find Maple's complete lack of wanting any romance off-putting but also no one in the clan would be able to keep up with her. It's not like she has too many projects, it's just that she has a one track mind and no respect for authority (actually it's just because Calla lets her get away with it. Most of the clan think that Calla just wants an excuse to do normal clan member things). All Maple wants to do is go new places. She constantly says that's she's going to be the first dragon to overturn every rock. That is, when she finds the time to speak to another dragon. The only dragon she ever has real conversations with is Ithir, but even then they're short conversations. Some dragons joke that she's flighty, but she's actually rather intelligent. Some dragons-aka those who know her better-joke that she'd be a great mate. Maple tends to ignore most of these comments.
