What does temperament refer to?
Temperament is how the dragon behaves overall with other dragons. There are 5 types of temperaments. Submissive , Passive, Neutral, Dominant, and Agressive .
Submissive Dragons prefer to actively avoid conflict at all costs. They will conform to the authority of others, and want to remain on another dragons good side. They have no desire to defend their opinions if they're attacked on it, and often don't express their opinions in fear of how other dragons will react. This often calls for the dragon following the beliefs and opinions of another dragon even if its in contrast to their own.
Passive Dragons don't avoid conflict, but rather, have no specific reaction to the conflict. They accept what happens, and put up no resistance even if it contradicts their personal beliefs. Much like submissive dragons, they do not resist, but they also aren't specifically avoiding conflict as a submissive dragon would. Their opinion may spill out, but they can still hang with dragons who have contrasting beliefs as they choose to not act on their own beliefs.
Neutral Dragons are perfectly okay with conflict. However instead of choosing a side to associate with and trying to defend it, they accept that others have different personal beliefs and may even defend an opinion that isn't their own. Ultimately, they don't let their personal opinion stand in the way of who they hang out with. Unlike passive and submissive dragons, personal beliefs and opinions have absolutely no influence on their behaviour.
Dominant Dragons know different dragons have different opinions, but it doesn't stop them from actively expressing and believing in their own. They will not conform to the ways of other dragons, but their personal beliefs may influence who they hang out with. Since they're prone to argument, they usually choose to associate with those who share the same beliefs. In the face of conflict, they have no intention to back down or change their mind on things.
Aggressive Dragons seek out conflict. They want to start fights, and live for contrasting opinions where they can try to prove they are correct. They absolutely would never ever conform to a popular belief, and may even seek out a varied opinion from their personal one just to start a fight. These guys can be brutal to deal with, and often pair up with submissive dragons.
