unapologetically my favorite character, it was his one-sided conversation with jade in the final pages of act 5 that made me fall in love with him -- and then the strained friendship in the pre-retcon timeline with dave! and then the Definitely More Than Friendship with dave after the retcon!! 2011 me was so vindicated by that development!!
he was a boy who lacked confidence and loved too much for his species romance system to handle. now look at him, Echidna believed in him as a LEADER.
