Morpheus

When Morpheus was a youngling, the Scarred Wasteland's secrecy suffocated him. He never felt that he knew his parents, his clanmates, or his siblings. Even he was a mystery to himself. So he followed his sister Selene - always the stronger personality of the two, not that she knew it - to the Starfall Isles, where she immediately settled into their new clan by synthesizing hatchlings whom she raised with care, leading a variety of alchemical experiments, and advising their leaders on tactics and diplomacy. She couldn't have been more at home. And as long as she was happy, he was happy.

But he could not be satisfied. He liked the Starfall Isles' clean air; he liked their untrustworthy ground, radiating magic; he liked that if his new clanmates ignored him, they were more likely distracted than shutting him out. Still, little as he had felt he belonged in the Plague Flight, the Starfall Isles taught him how much Plague had made him what he was. Without telling anyone, he brewed his own alchemical reduction, following a recipe that his old flight had taught him: a vat where new diseases evolved, fermenting into a brew that he hung around his neck in a vial.

If war ever comes, Morpheus will defend his new flight using his old flight's tools: He will walk into his clan's strategic council and volunteer his services as their poisoner. And the only part he will regret is the look on his sister's face when she realizes she never knew him as she thought she did.
