Beerus is one of the witchcrafters of the clan. Whilst Beerus' old friend Bismuth was more into the modern arts, Beerus is into the ancient arts. The kind that requires you to collect twigs, leaves, flowers, mushrooms and mix those into a weird-looking substance in a cauldron.

With his knowledge, Beerus is able to create potions and magic spells, as well as simple medicine. However, the last thing is mainly taken care of by Nephrite, much to Beerus' relief- He wouldn't ever have forgiven himself if he caused someone's death by accident with these things.

.. Perhaps somewhere.. Somewhere hidden on one of his shelves.. Beerus has a.. Dark magic spell book? Who knows- Nobody truly knows but Beerus himself.

Once Aether appointed Beerus as the main caretaker of the cauldron, ancient arts and anything related to it, the two of them spent more and more time together. Usually it was for clan purposes, 'Beerus we need this potion', 'Beerus can you give some herbs to the cooks', 'Beerus the cauldron needs to be cleaned'. It slowly became more of a friendship, though, and eventually, the two became mates.

Beerus never thought he'd be a clan leader (or some right wing), especially since Aether never managed to stay with one mate too long. For some reason though, he pulled it off and is to this day still the one and only permanent mate for Aether. Luckily for him, at this point he's got no worries of being left behind.
