A breeder dragon. She only lives in the lair to produce hatchlings for exalting.
Akane is a self-centered dragon and she is cast away out of the lair. The previous leader, Amaranth had only let her stay because she is a breeder.

Regrets

Akane's Story

Akane shivered as the cold moonlight shone, and the draft chilled her old bones. She pressed the dry leaf mulch against her cold body with her tail. She couldn't sleep. She always couldn't. She was cast away out from the lair. The only place where a lair had kept her. This season, lairs have been hostile, if she ever left, no one would take an old dragon like Akane.

Akane sighed. She wished she would have became an elder, or request to be one but there was no chance. None of the dragons would want to take care of an ungrateful old dragon, like Akane. Like Akane. Like Akane. That's what everyone says. Akane knew she had done many wrong things in the past, and with Kage and Mizu in the Lair, her deeds will be known to many dragons as long as those two, noble dragons stayed.

But Akane changed, she tried, at least, but there were still some changes. Mizu had forgave her. Akane's only "friend" that still talk to her. Apart from those curious hatchlings that came to her nest after hearing her "horrific" deeds. Yes, Akane did do some bad deeds. She was self-centered, but she knew that she had tore a scar in the heart of the Lair.

Akane was stubborn. Akane has caused the death of the previous Clan Leader which has shocked many. She nuzzled her pearl, and it glowed in the cold moonlight. The essence and sheen of regret and sorrow laid as the last sheen of her pearl. Never anymore, will she grow her pearl. She curled around it, and closed her eyes. Tears poured out of her light green eyes.

Soreth, the dragon she first met. Her first mate. Even if he no longer loved her, he still slept near her nest. She knew that she was still in his heart and that was what kept Akane going. "I'm so sorry", she whispered. She did this every nigh, apologizing over and over again, hoping the her ancestors will forgive her. As well as Soreth.
