A spirit of pure beauty and grace,
Loving an Imperial with lies spun so tall.
Although ancient and wise from age,
Benevolence was her downfall.

This dragon is an excellent judge of character. They also have a very good moral compass.
Has had some sort of pain inflicted on them. Will seek out who-ever or whatever cause it.
Kind hearted and compassionate they often put the need of others above their own

“I bled for you. This is how you repay me?”
At first glance, Penthesilea appears as an ordinary, yet beautiful, guardian. In truth, the being is an age old spirit, reaching back to the dawn of the second age. Even she is unable to describe what her true form once was. Kings and Queens alike could only gaze upon her in awe, the fairest in Sornieth would go red with jealousy. She appeared strangely ethereal, unlike anything anyone had laid their eyes upon.

The era of technology had come and gone, the spirit lived through wars and the destruction of nearly all living things, she witnessed the birth of the Arcanist, Gladekeeper, and Plaguebringer. And not long after the second, the third and fourth age followed. Penthesilea bore witness to the rise of the drakes and the coming of the beastclans. Never before had she been so entranced by life. She was mystified, completely infatuated. These.. dragons, they were fragile, and yet so resilient. They were great and powerful in their own way, nothing close to her but.. somehow, she was fascinated with them.

Time flew by, and the spirit decided she wished to see from dragonkind's eyes. Still early into the fourth age, the being turned herself into a guardian. She bore beautiful abyss scales, which shimmered under the sun. Her wings were a translucent mulberry violet, and the light seemed to dance through them.
She caught the eyes of many, specifically those of a young warlord of that era: Achilleus, a bold and powerful imperial- whose goal was to conquer the whole of Sornieth, under one united flight.
Almost immediately, she was smitten by the dragon- not for his power, or looks, but his vision. He had gazed beyond and easily recognized that the being in drake form was an old soul, far wiser than he himself was. He fooled the naive spirit into caring for him, whispering honey-sweet lies. He had told her tales of their future, convincing her to stand on the battlefield beside him, to use her true power against all those that would oppose him- his quest. The creature swallowed every word he spoke, followed every command. She did not hesitate to present her true form to all those that would dare to battle against her.
Their battles would become a legend. Many called the now Emperor the "The Tamer", and Penthesilea "The Chained". However, their taunts would fall on deaf ears. For years, they were happy, and Theseus continued to speak kind words and hollow promises.
Naturally, now that the emperor had gotten what he wanted, he no longer needed her service. Fearing that if he simply discarded her, she would use all of her might against him- and the children he had fathered with other dragons. And so, he gave her a 'gift': jewelry, forged from some of the rarest metals of the second age: enchanted to keep her in her dragonic form, forever. She would no longer be able to use her magic. Of course, all of this was unbeknownst to her. As soon as Penthesilea adorned the silver-coloured pieces, ancient and forgotten runes in an archaic language appeared on her body, she felt her magic fade- she was no longer able to shift into her noble self.
She could no longer remove her lover's last gifts to her either.
Enraged, the spirit killed him in a blind fit. She vowed she would find his descendants as time passed by, and kill them over and over. They would be cursed until none of them were left, and his bloodline had died out.
The Great Empire, with no heir, soon faded into the olden history books, some scholars claiming the story of the Tamer and the Chained to simply be a myth. If they only knew.
