Maarfrin is a veteran what comes to combat and has never failed protecting a fellow dragon. Some says she's fiercer than any known creature and harsher what comes to enemies. Maarfrin started training combat in a very young age, since her previous clan was known to raise every hatchling into a great warrior. There were strict rules to follow, so being discipline was the key for survival.

One day Maarfrin had enough so she fled the clan, even tough leaving was strictly prohibited. For several months there were scouts searching her, in order to fetch the traitor in front of the leaders. All the training and experience in the field became useful, so Maarfrin was successfully avoiding to be found. By change one of the scouts managed to find Maarfrin and an unavoidable battle between surviving and following orders begun. Maarfrin was the victorious one. Instead of following the clans teachings, Maarfrin didn't finish up the scout and ordered them to leave. Such kindness was unheard of in their clan, so the scout decided to let Maarfrin flee without noticing others about wounded Maarfrin. The scout wanted to meet Maarfrin again and defeat her in a glorious battle.

For years Maarfrin was wandering around, fighting beasts and dragons. Her success in combat however didn't fill a gap she was feeling inside. There was no fellow friends or fighters beside her and loneliness gnawed her more than any battle she went through. One day she ended up returning in the Scarred wasteland, the region she used to call home. There was a high possibility she would cross her old clan members, but Maarfrin was willing to take the risk in her quest to find company. What would be a better place than her home lands to start searching.

One day she happened to be around when Ovurnain's clan members were gotten themselves in a very tight spot with monsters surrounding them. The dragons were just ordinary gatherers and their guardian has lost the fight already. Knowing Maarfrin could help them out, she flew in there and chased away the beasts. The dragons were thankful for being saved and they left to tend the fallen guardians wounds back to their lair. Later on scouts were send to find Maarfrin. Ovurnain wanted to know who was saved his clan members and thank Maarfrin in person. The scouts were able to locate Maarfrin, so Ovurnain flew there to meet her. He wanted to know where Maarfrin was from and if she wanted to join feast with his clan, as a token of his gratitude. Maarfrin agreed and during the time she was visiting the clan, it appeared she was in a need of company, so Ovurnain offered a place for her in his clan. Surprised, Maarfrin said to think about the offer. Later on she accepted Ovurnain's offer and became part of the clan.
