Biography

Villain of the clan.

Zard arrived at the clan's shores during the height of a violent storm. Battered and drenched from enduring the extreme weather, clan founder Subfusc quickly ushered the Mirror inside without question, offering respite and shelter.

With his wings in tatters and his strength sapped, he eagerly accepted this and found himself soon afterward in the warmth and comfort of the infirmary chamber, tended to by clan healer, Caduceus. He regarded the Coatl with a mixture of suspicion and annoyance - the blasted creature hummed incessantly as he worked, and Zard could never tell if he was talking or just singing to himself.

As his strength slowly returned, he found himself becoming somewhat integrated into the community. Cooks were including him in the scheduled meals, clothiers were more than happy to fit him out in a new outfit to replace the rags he'd arrived in, even the other founder, Beacon, had taken a personal interest in him. He suspected a lot of this special treatment he was recieving was under her orders.

Not that he was complaining.

Eventually he was granted his own chamber and formally accepted as a member of the clan, his abode furnished generously with some of the best silks and fabrics as a welcoming gift. He didn't care about that, though. He had become aware of something that was far more interesting.

He had watched how Beacon and Subfusc often interracted, noting a general point of contention on how the clan ought to be run. Arguments often turned bitter and the pair would spend lengthy time apart. His mind began to turn, figuring out ways that he could perhaps use this to his advantage. He was a selfish creature at heart, and he was already aware of Beacon's interest in him.

There was a clear opportunity here.

Get rid of the Fae.

Ascend to clan leadership with Beacon at his side.
