B I O G R A P H Y

Tea, Daaras insists, is an art, a pursuit that requires years of training and study. He's an older fae who has put much of his life into the art of tea, and that effort shows. His brews are very popular with the library residents, so much so that Aithne has given him a small room, just for him, in which to work and store supplies.

Daaras' age doesn't seem to slow him down, at least not when it comes to his craft. He switches often between serenity and wisdom and the excitability of a dragon half of his age. He also knows a lot about tea. A lot. He is a tea master, after all, and that knowledge includes tea ceremonies, tea sets, and which herbs go together to make the best blends. He can create custom brews to help dragons cope with physical, mental, or emotional ailments. He's particularly popular during the colder months, when a cup of tea is just what a dragon needs to take the bite out of the air's chill.

Although Daaras has been offered garden space to grow his ingredients, the fae insists that collecting leaves and flowers from the wild is the only way to make the highest-quality tea. He only goes on ingredient expeditions once or twice a month, but when he does he's gone for over a week and comes back with bags filled to burst. He loves having the library faes taste test new brews, and he's actively searching for an apprentice to carry on his legacy when he passes.

Shiia doesn't really do much to aid Daaras, leading many fae to wonder why he keeps her around. A few think it's just because she's pretty and exotic.
