Tejin

What happened during Tejin's childhood is almost completely unknown, as she has no recorded parents and no one stating that they've sighted her ever before. Tejin refuses to talk about it as she thinks it's irrelevant.

She first came into the known world when she defeated an Arcane Imperial more than fifty times her size with little to no effort. In time, other dragons all over the Tangled Wood went over to pay their respects to her. She saw potential in some of them, and decided that she now possessed enough influence to begin her own clan. Few were invited, even fewer decided to join.

Before any Shadow Dragon was made a part of the clan, they were told that walking through this path would mean that they belonged to Tejin, and her word is law, and that they wouldn't be able to, or be allowed to disobey it in any way. If they agreed, they would then go through a series of trials, called "The Blind Vision trials". The details of the trials are left unknown, as those who participated have either been too afraid to talk about it, or are in Tejin's Clan and won't speak without her will.

Tejin is rather conservative, and despite her extreme lack of sympathy for dragons and clans outside of the Tangled Wood, she is known to have struck deals with some of them, and even absorb some in her clan for the sake of profit. The foreign dragons don't go through the same trials that the shadow dragons do however, as they are deemed "unworthy" anyway, and will always be below the shadow dragons in terms of social status as long as they are a part of the clan.
