Torn Out of Time
once, a young man came to the Ascent, bearing scars and tattered clothes, but a grin upon his face. his features are of feather and fur, scales tinted with strange colors in the right light. golden energy crackled around his form, making it impossible for anyone to approach him. hell, it even appeared as if the energy leaked straight from within. and yet, despite the tussled up look, he was extraordinarily kind and hopeful, as if whatever he had went through was nothing to be concerned about.
he introduced himself as Morgan. he knew not where he came from, but only that he was determined to help the Ascent in anyway he could.
the Ascent was unsure of what to make of him, but he seemed rather harmless enough. they provided him sanctuary. no one knew what sort of job to give him, but he seemed to enjoy combat, so they've given him a spot as Karid's assistant in training others.

Morgan's golden crackle of magical energy eventually settled into a runic state. he's much more happy now and significantly more approachable. yet there's still the feeling that perhaps he's hiding something beyond that blithe smile of his, but no one can make heads or tails of him.

Morgan embraced the darkness that threatened to curse all who bears its brand. years he had spent practicing to make it bend to his will. his bloodline would not rule him, he would, instead, be its guide. he's near his goal, but excitement and happiness still causes the darkness to flurry off of him like feathers. it proves little threat, but has a nasty habit of sticking to surfaces and is a bit of a bother to clean. unfortunately, his preferred state is to be happy and his emotions flare up without warning. he's a handful, that one.
that said, Morgan tries his best to use his abilities for whatever he deems well enough. so far,
his actions seem largely beneficial, but his unorthodox methods do keep others on their toes. he doesn't appear affected by their judgments and happily continues on his tasks with his comforting shroud of shadow.
not all good must come from light.

Robin's future son. An upbeat boy who remembers little about the future—not even which future he came from. He wants to be a tactician like his mother and is dangerously optimized to reflect that desire. The Fell Brand claims a large portion of his back. Always a little too eager to fight and is the most shamelessly self-driven. Born on May 5th.
