Found half dead in the forest, Calyptra owes her life to Komorebi. It was he who discovered here, and fed her from his own veins as his wings shielded her from the deadly sun. For days he lay there unmoving as the tiny fae lapped up his life blood as fervently as a starving kitten accepts milk. Only once she had regained the stamina to stand did he speak, informong her that he would take her to someone more suited to help her, the shadow-souled Glinion.
Under the watch of Nature's Shadow, Calyptra blossomed into powerful young fae. Eventually revealing herself to be the child of Nyx and Erebus, the twisted result of the Plague Mother's cauldron. As her parents before her Calyptra bares the curse of vampirism, sustaining only on the blood of her prey. Her tainted blood, if consumed reaults in the creation of more of her kind, and sunlight quickly saps her of her energy. Even so
Found by Komorebi and brought to Glinion to raise. Has a difficult time accepting that she has forever had the sunlight stolen from her. Still wears her shackles as jewelry. Vampire dragon who lives off of the blood of animals. Waves glowing baubles into all the trees surrounding the lair to create a vast web of stars that she can touch. "If the fates have seen to steal the sun from me, then I shall claim the stars for myself."
