Among Torkaze's few positive traits is his unswerving loyalty. Although he values his own wellbeing more than anyone else's, whoever he decides to follow comes as a close second. He never shows any sort of affection -- and his siblings would likely declare him incapable of doing so -- yet despite his extreme selfishness and pride in his own strength, he seems to have a selectively servile personality. Perhaps instead of an inner drive to seek a Charge, he submits to an irresistible instinct to serve a master. He originally displayed a reckless devotion to his mother's every wish, and later to those of her successor Naesie, but seemed to abandon his loyalty to his family line when a new master asserted control over the clan. Despite this drastic shift, he seems as happy as he ever was under his new master -- perhaps even more so.

His vices far outweigh any virtues he may possess, though. Torkaze is gluttonous, greedy, and grotesquely amoral. Anything that puts food in his belly or gashes into something else, he'll do without a second thought; eating and destroying are his favorite activities. Not even the normal limits of a dragon diet will give him pause, as he gladly consumes literally anything that either fits in his mouth or can be bitten off into chunks that do. The only orders issued by his master that he would not unquestioningly follow would be those that he believes would lead him into a situation he could not survive. Danger itself does not deter him, though, and it would take an extremely powerful foe to cause doubt about his chances of victory to even enter his mind. He has not yet met an enemy capable of shaking his faith in his own invincibility.
