Rickettsia watches over the Clan's Nesting Grounds, the occupied nests within and the young hatchlings.

Rickettsia is more aligned with Impetigo's ways of genteelness and song. Another one of her tasks is to identify the young ones who are destined to serve the Plaguebringer as living members of the Clan, ones destined to go out into the world and spread the Glory that is the Swarm and those who are destined to go serve the Plagebringer herself.

Rickettsia then separates the young ones up into their respective teaching groups so they can learn all that they need to fulfill their destines.

Rickettsia peacockii is a species of gram negative Alphaproteobacteria of the spotted fever group, identified from Rocky Mountain wood ticks (Dermacentor andersoni). The organism is passed transstadially and transovarially, and infections are localized in ovarial tissues.
